Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. About Us

Whiterig Truck Curtains (“we”, “us”, “our”) supplies truck curtains and related products to customers throughout the United Kingdom and beyond.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales made:

  • Online via whiterigtruckcurtains.wales or whiterigtruckcurtains.com
  • By telephone
  • By email
  • By means of social media messaging not exclusive to but including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram messenger, TikTok messenger
  • All the above to be known collectively as “distance orders”
  • In person

By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.


2. Orders

2.1 Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance by us. A contract is formed when:

  • Distance orders: You receive written confirmation of your order by means of electronic communication
  • Telephone/In Person: We confirm acceptance and payment is received.

We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.


3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment with Order

Full payment is required at the time of order.

We will not begin manufacture or dispatch goods until payment has cleared.

3.2 Accepted Payment Methods

Payment methods available will be confirmed at the time of purchase and include card payment, bank transfer, or cash.


4. Product Types

We supply two categories of products:

1.      Bespoke (Made-to-Measure) Products

2.      Ready-Made (Standard) Products


5. Bespoke Products (Made to Customer Specifications)

5.1 Definition

Bespoke products are goods manufactured or altered specifically to customer measurements, design choices, or specifications.

5.2 Non-Refundable

All bespoke products are:

  • Non-refundable
  • Non-returnable
  • Non-exchangeable

Once manufacture has begun, the order cannot be cancelled.

5.3 Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate measurements
  • Confirming all specifications before production

We are not liable for incorrect measurements or specifications supplied by the customer.


6. Ready-Made Products

6.1 30-Day Returns Policy

Ready-made (standard) products may be returned within 30 days of delivery or collection, subject to the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused
  • Items must not have been hung or fitted
  • Items must be returned in original packaging
  • Items must be in resaleable condition

6.2 Refunds

Once returned goods are received and inspected, refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the goods show signs of use, fitting, or damage.

6.3 Return Costs

Unless the item is faulty, return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.


7. Delivery

7.1 Delivery Times

Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed.

We are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Courier services
  • Supply chain issues
  • Events beyond our control

7.2 Risk

Risk passes to the customer upon delivery or collection.


8. Faulty or Damaged Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers are entitled to goods that are:

  • As described
  • Of satisfactory quality
  • Fit for purpose

If goods are faulty or damaged, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Where a fault is confirmed, we will:

  • Repair
  • Replace
  • Or refund

at our discretion and in accordance with UK consumer law.


9. Cancellations (Distance Sales – Online & Telephone)

For ready-made products only, customers purchasing online or by telephone may have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

However, this right does NOT apply to bespoke or made-to-measure products.

If cancelling within the cooling-off period:

  • You must notify us in writing
  • Goods must be returned unused and in original packaging

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.


11. Installation and Use

Customers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring correct fitting
  • Ensuring suitability for their vehicle

We accept no liability for damage caused by incorrect installation.


12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.


13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Important Notes for Customers

  • This cancellation form applies only to ready-made goods purchased online or by telephone.
  • The right to cancel does NOT apply to bespoke or made-to-measure goods.
  • Cancellation must be made within 14 days of receiving the goods.
  • Goods must be returned unused and in original packaging.
  • Return costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the goods are faulty.
